He prepares Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorneys, and Advance Directives (living wills) for individuals and couples to help ensure they are prepared, and their estate plans are in order.
Mike represents family business owners who are looking to preserve wealth and develop a succession path from one generation to the next. Mike provides reasoned and practical guidance to help transition a business, either now or in the future. Mike utilizes tools including gifting principles, preparing shareholder agreements, possible restructuring of business, and other business applications.
Mike represents clients in guardianship matters. Many of his clients seek to assist a family member who no longer has capacity due to age, dementia, or other reasons. At other times, Mike is appointed by the Bucks County Court to represent individuals who are alleged to be incapacitated in guardianship matters. Guardianships are challenging situations for all the individuals involved. In many situations, guardianships can be avoided by the individual having proper estate planning documents in place
Mike has also served as an Agent and understands the time and steps necessary to assist individuals who serve as an Agent under a power of attorney.
